Parent Involvement

KJP is a very interactive school where parents perform critical roles to ensure its success. Parents underpin all that happens in the school outside of the classroom. We invite parents into school twice a year for a personal feedback interview in Terms 1 & 3. In Terms 2 and 4, parents are invited to a ‘Books and Burgers’ function to view children’s books.

Each class has a Class Parent who runs a communication group to help disseminate information effectively. ‘Parents Who Pray’ is a group that comes in weekly to pray for the school. The ‘Caring Committee’ is a support structure for families in any kind of need. There are many other types of Committees that parents can join to be a support to the school.

Parents are also involved in the running of fundraising activities such as cake sales & Carnival Day. We welcome parents to attend our Mother’s Day and Father’s Day functions. Every three years, a whole school concert is presented, and parents perform a critical role in assisting with props, make-up, costumes and catering.
