Community Involvement

Kloof Junior is committed to assisting the communities that surround it, and our children are encouraged to involve themselves in various ways. Every week, our children bring along an extra sandwich that is shared with the 1000 hills community. Each classroom has a coin tin for spare change that supports a kennel at the local SPCA. Bread tags are collected towards funds for wheelchairs, and once we have enough money, the wheelchair is bought and handed over to a lucky recipient.

We also support Little Lambs, a Kloof home for orphaned children. Every year, the children bring in their old shoes, which are donated to Ingane Yami for those children needing shoes. Every year, we support Mandela Day and children are encouraged to spend 67 minutes of their time creating something that will then be donated to those less fortunate than they are. We also support the Sunflower Fund where each child is encouraged to buy a bandana in support of those children suffering from childhood diseases such as leukaemia.
